After a hard fought battle Lint Merritt passed from this earth on Monday, December 8, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas. Lint was 58 years old.
Lint was born July 22, 1950 in Dimmitt, he was a third generation farmer and rancher in Castro County. He was our classmate, he graduated from Dimmitt High School and West Texas State University.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Merritt. Survivors include his wife, Connie; his mother, Sue Merritt; two daughters, Julie Wilson and husband Bryan of Dumas and Jill Merritt of Dallas. Also survived by two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
