Pete was one of my best friends from first grade all through school. I am lucky to have known him. I will miss him and always remember him. He was a good guy.

Pete was a really good guy.  I'm sorry to hear of his passing.                                                                                        He will be missed not only by his family and friends but, also by his classmates.

Pete was about 5'7", 140 lb. when we were Seniors is 1968. When Graham Sheffy and I struggled to weigh 80 lbs. as 7th grade football players, Pete was already about 5''6", 135 lb. and Coach Wilson put him at running back. One of our first opponents was the Olton Mustangs ( whose helmets had no face masks!) and my recollection is that Pete scored touchdowns the first three times he touched the ball.  We thought we were really good, but I think Pete was just a man among boys, bigger and faster than any other 12 year olds.  I visited Pete one day in about 1975 when he was an officer at First State Bank in Dimmitt and asked him why he didn't continue playing football after Jr. High and he told me it just wasn't as much fun when all the other boys got bigger and faster!  Scott Moran

Simply put -- Pete was a "class act".

Pete was a good friend and will be sorely missed. What I remember most about him was his positive attitude and he never seemed down. May he rest in peace in a better place without pain in the glory of our saviour.

Pete was a very nice guy.  He was always friendly and caring.  He will be missed by all of us. Prayers to his family and friends.  Till we meet again Pete.
