In this time of the year when we all are enjoying the Christmas Season with our families, please take the time to say a prayer or a long thought of Lint's family. If you have not heard, Lint Merritt passed away earlier this month after a long illness.

"For unto us a Child is born" Isaiah 8:1-7. We should all take time to give thanks for what we have, the family and friends. What a wonderful year it has been, some sorrow and some joy. I continue to pray for those that aren't with us now, for they will not be forgotten. I have many fond memories of Harry, Lint, and Graham. May God Bless and watch over them. Patsy and I take this time to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a healthy prosperous New Year. We, rather She has enjoyed taking care of the twins. She is a lucky grandma. Merry Christmas. Let's keep in touch.

Hello to all. Just wanted to accounce the birth of our first grandchild, Molly Clare Sullivan, born on 1-24-09 in San Antonio, 8 lbs. 3 oz. Was in NICU for a couple of days with fluid in her lungs, but is now doing great and is (of course) beautiful. We are delighted and thankful to be so blessed.

Hello All,
Just taking a moment to touch base. We have been busy as I know everyone else has been. Our grandson's play baseball a couple of times a night and of course we still have to go to work so I am counting the days until summer vacation.
John and Doricell have a new grandson "Cruz Zachary" born Friday, May 29th. He is the son of Kris and Jill Keith. Jill is John and Doricell's youngest daughter. So, I am a great aunt once again. Wow!!!
Take care and thanks for all of the birthday wishes earlier this month.

It's been a year now since our reunion. There's been lots that has gone on in each our lives, as well as our country. We lost another member of our class and I am sure (because I am one of them) there are quite a few of us that are beginning to have our own bouts with health. It was real nice catching up with everyone last year. I do hope we can all remain some what in touch with one another in the future. There are so many avenues open to that. Everyone do take care and do keep your feet planted solidily in your beliefs, for there is so much change going on these days that hopes, beliefs, and values are being challenged from all sides.

Something for all of us in the class of '68 to think about.  On our 50 year  anniversary, which is in 2018, the majority of us will be - you guessed it- 68 years old.  A rather unique oddity.

Juanelle, Rochelle, how are you this year 2011? I hope it is a better year for both of you. Love, Mary Lynn

Hello fellow classmates. It is the end of another school year and working as an administrator on a campus of 800 elementary students is exhausting. Two of our grandsons are playing select baseball so we are at the ballpark a lot lately. Our third grandson and his competition cheer team won worlds at BatonRouge, Louisiana in April! Never a dull moment. Ken had hernia surgery again in january and we are looking at yet another this summer. He is retiring and needs to rest and recuperate from years of working and cancer recovery. I thank everyone for the birthday wishes. God speed summer vacation for everyone still working in education. Ha!

O-K, I think enough is enough,  I know most of you, like myself, check this site at least once a week if not more.  It's about time we started talking.

I retired at the end of last year.  Now living at Lake "O" the Pines in east TX. just outside of Jefferson.  If anybody is in the area please look me up, love to see you.

Everybody stay cool this summer and let people know how things are going....Danny Land

I am so looking forward to another get together.  Can't wait. Yes Danny, I too check this site and it was like everyone lost their computer skills or something, cause there was nothing there.  Glad to see it has come back to life.

Glad to see there is some interest in 2013!  Hope others will continue to post their interest as well.

This is a great site to use for information but isn't it amazing how technology has continued to change since we began locating everyone for our 40th Class Reunion.  Back then "My Space" was being used by the kids but this Facebook thing has really exploded  - please keep updating your profiles here and checking for information and by using Facebook we may be able to find others in the class that we did not find for our 40th.

Since 2011 is more than half over it is time to start planning for 2013 - so we need feedback on:

Best Location for the 45th Reunion - Lubbock, Dallas, San Antonio, Las Vegas, other?

Best Time of Year - in 2013 July 4th is on a Thursday,  this would give us a great long weekend!

Any and all suggestions welcome.  All volunteers welcome.

First time I have looked at this space, not sure why. I am living in Brownwood out at the lake. I still work for the Texas Youth Commission (in my retirement). The agency will merge with Texas Juvenile Probation December first. Not sure what that will bring. In the six years I have been here we have seen 3 reductions in force. My job changes everytime but I am still hanging on. My family is well. I now have 2 grand children one that is almost 2 years and one that is 2 months. they live in muleshoe and are, of course, perfect. hope this year is good to all of you.

I am in.  As stated before, San Antonio is nice and hot in July, but beautiful anyway.  That is an option.  I am open to anything.  I think we talked about the 4th of July weekend since the fourth is on a Thursday in 2013.  Just let me know.

The idea of San Antonio is agood thought.  If out of state New Mexico (albequque or santa fe) or Colorado (denver or colorado springs) might be of some thought, but Lubbock again is good and make 50 a big blow out.  Many options.  Me I am open to about most any.  I think we by in large all enjoyed our 40th.  Looking forward to it.

Ken and I would love to see everyone again in 2013. We are open for any destination. San Antonio would be super. We are only 2 hours from there. Or...all over Texas you have ranch settings that cater to reunions. Then there's always Ruidosa, NM and the Horse races. So...

We just returned from a cruise - took our grand daughter for her graduation, the week after Thanksgiving is pretty reasonable priced of course it is during the busy holiday period.  There is always Las Vegas for a crazy destination!

A destination could take away from the "reunion"  gathering unless we were somewhat contained ......like on a ship or Inn of the Mountain Gods, etc.

Let's pick the date, then the place.
